Battlefield 4 Platoons: New Improvements

With a new update to Battlefield 4 Platoons, it’s even easier for Platoon members to connect and play together. Read on and learn how to see what server your Platoon members are playing on, plus various other features

Released a month ago, Platoons for Battlefield 4 have made it possible for players to get together in larger numbers and show the world where they belong. For us at DICE, it’s been a treat to see the community create thousands of Platoons, recruit new members, and design creative emblems.

Learn the basics of Battlefield 4 Platoons

With our latest Battlelog update, we’ve made it possible for you to see on what servers your Platoon members are playing.

Locate Your Platoon Members

If you head to Platoons on Battlelog, you’ll notice a new tab called Servers. Under this tab, you’ll see a list of all your Platoon members currently playing Battlefield 4. Here you can scroll through the servers that your fellow Platoon members are playing on, and jump in their game if you want to help them out.

PlatoonServers

Servers hosting the highest number of your Platoon members are placed at the top.

Increased Member Cap

We have also added the number of Platoon members you can have in your Platoon. This is based on what rank your Battlefield 4 soldier has reached. If you’ve reached rank 5, the member cap is 150. If you’ve reached rank 10, the member cap is 200. There are many other improvements and tweaks done to Platoons, like automated subscriptions to Platoon wall posts and comments. Find the full change log on the Battlelog Forums.

Give Us Your Feedback

We hope you will enjoy these added new features to Platoons, and also the ones that we are planning for the future. We truly appreciate your feedback, and will use it to further improve Platoons in Battlefield 4. Give us your feedback in the comments below or in the “Platoons Feedback” thread on Battlelog.

You need to do something about the quick scoping on the DMRs and Sniper rifles. Can’t understand how some one can scope me before I can get a shoot off with a sub or light machine gun. This really needs fixed in a hurry. I am a 62 year old grandma and i am getting sick of the quick scoping.

What have you fixed. My battlelog is still messed up and I can’t edit my loadouts. You guys are the worst.

  • miniHec 04.12.14 at 06:37

You all at Dice and EA haven’t fixed a god damn thing at all. Instead you just weakened better weapons and hard earned weapons, AND you completely messed up the jet and helicopter classes. Please actually attempt to try and fix these problems instead of being a bunch of lazy hippies. Fix it bastards. The game sucks now, I remember how good past battlefields have been before bf3 and definitley bf4. Bring back that fun battlefield from back in the days and stop trying to make this mainstream “Call of Duty” bullshit…- Sincerely Ryan

EA has already taken our money. They still count the game as a “success.” This is why EA has been voted one of the worst companies of all time. Want to make EA pay? Hit them where it hurts, their wallets. Restrain from purchasing games produced by EA until they start caring about the fans and not just their money. EA has no motivation to change if we keep buying their broken products and making them rich.

EA is a big corporation. they founded EA to make money and bought smaller companies to make games to make them money by giving the smaller companies a little money. EA Wants and needs money doing this would hurt all of EA’s game companies resulting in even shittier games

Please make it so you can join servers in groups like you could in BF3. Why would you even take that out to begin with?

  • Thepokezuma 04.08.14 at 19:49

    PLEASE Give consoles private servers!!!!!!

  • DocSavage 04.08.14 at 19:41

So this is what’s causing all the lag?

  • Partnur 04.08.14 at 19:02

Doesn’t the Battlelog link in-game already show what servers friends are on? I just msg friends to :”PT (party) @ :30″ or whatever time I want, & we all follow each other into a server.

  • BloodSnowflake 04.08.14 at 18:44

How about you stop spliting up members of the same platoon. Also fix your battlelog app so I can log in. And also so it remembers me. There is no reason what I said above should be happening. Also if you can’t stop it from team switches of platoons bring outcustom servers.

Is it possible to decrease the members that need to play to gain points to the clan from 4 to 2. Because its get easier to gain points for the small clans. Please do something about this. Love Battlefield 4!!!

  • HillBilly Tango 04.08.14 at 18:40

Are we gonna get personal servers like battlefield 3 so platoons can train and hold clan matches?

  • II-ElecTRolux-II 04.08.14 at 18:17

Well, It’s helping for a full big platoons.

  • Checkmate11B 04.08.14 at 18:15

I don’t know about anybody else, but I would personally rather see more intuitive controls over squad forming in-game before a match without needing a PC or tablet. Platoons are great, but a lot of this is moot because of how broken server browsing is currently.

    • N-Shifter 04.08.14 at 23:02

Server browsing simply can’t be made any easier, you can do it in game, on a pc, laptop, tablet or your phone….it’s simple, what else can they possibly do to make it any easier?
